This very helpful site has a specific lesson geared toward healthy eating, but you can find just about any topic you want, with lessons and videos included at www.pbs.org
My favorite website for Health is Brain Pop. Some of the activities are free, but the really good ones that I would use cost a fee. Unfortunately, my school doesn’t pay for or reimburse teachers, and so my use of the site in my classroom is very limited.
The only discipline link I found that related to Health was actually a really interesting one. It was Science Fair Center and even though the majority of information dealt with science, I found a link for free lesson ideas for Health.
The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives is a wonderful link to online math manipulatives, instead of dragging out all the materials, you can find the same thing in virtual form for all math content areas.
www.funbrain.com is full of games for kids, my personal favorite is a language arts game called "Plural Girls". It is perfect for 4th grade because students still need practice with plural forms of words. The list of words the game utilizes is right on target for our district curriculum.
After searching for "Physics" on the NYLearns site, just about every result linked to my favorite site from Colorado, PhET. PhET is full of simulations for math and science class and all ages of kids. Although I haven't used anything but the HS level physics sims, I do know that these ones are great. Most sims have multiple files uploaded from other teachers (labs, worksheets, etc) that they have used in their classroom. This is a great resource!
Much like PhET, Explore Learning is full of science/and math simulations (they call them Gizmos) for various grade levels. Each Gizmo also includes student pages, teachers pages and sometimes lesson plans. This is a great way to incorporate technology with very little effort.
The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives was a great resource. It has all of the anchors for the PSSA's by category and has a ton of resources to use in the classroom!
In the Mathematics Archive you have an overwhelming resource involving over 100 websites that pertain to a huge variety of math topics. Each of those sites contains a lot of helpful items ranging from activities, lessons, and additional practice using games and worksheets.
This website is a web-based software that allows teachers to make webquests in a short amount of time without having to write any HTML code (I know this was not on the list from the Module, but I LOVE this resource!)
This is an online diagram software that allows teachers and students to easily create multiple kinds of diagrams in a quick and neat manner.
This Science site is a great site. I always am looking for worksheets and assignments for my students. I do not have a curriculum or textbooks. This site will be a great help to me.
This is a great educational tool I can use with my students. It provides an atmosphere my students would enjoy and learn at the same time.
This site gives ideas of lesson plans for my students to help them work on post high school planning.
The content in this video is really applicable to what I do, though it is geared toward younger students. It really sums up a lot of what I would tell students I met for the first time.
Although a paid subscription is needed, the year-long access that you have to these materials is invaluable. Best of all, it covers all disciplines. I've used their plays and grammar worksheets. They even have holiday activities and great bulletin board ideas.
This site enables teachers to upload their spelling lists so that students can hear the words being pronounced and used in sentences as they learn how the words are spelled. There is a vocabulary component whereby meaning is assessed; however, that service has a premium price tag.
This site allows the user to put the age group and what type of art you are looking for then it will give you suggested lesson plans. There are a variety of plans.
This is a great resource is you are an elementary school teacher looking for a variety of worksheets. There are materials for all subject areas and they are not all paper and pencil tasks.
This is a fun website that is curriculum driven. It is 'kid friendly' with a lot of primary colors and interesting games for the kids. I first heard of it because my own children wanted to play on it one day when they came home from school. It was the new site that was introduced at the computer lab that day.
Many of the resources listed on the page were dated, so I probably would not use them.
The Kennedy Center Arts Edge: had some nice resources related to Black History Month.

NCTM's website is a great resource for math teachers. I included the link for a probability spinner that can be used in class.
