I am currently teaching high school physics and physical science at Iroquois High School on the east side of Erie, Pennsylvania. Most of my students are juniors and seniors with a handful of sophomores thrown in to keep it interesting!

Few Facts about myself:

  1. I was fortunate to get a job in my field of study, that I love, just a month after graduation!
  2. I love photography but don't have enough time, at the moment, to do as much of it as I would like.
  3. I am more or less addicted to coffee.
  4. I love computers and being able to connect with technology. But, at the same time, I love a good book or a face to face conversation with a good friend!

What I'd like to learn or get out of this course:

I am really looking forward to learning more tips and tools that I can apply to my own classroom. Being that this is my first year teaching I have just been so overwhelmed with making sure I have enough material for the period, making sure I prepare the students for state tests and college, hoping the students respect and like me and praying they learn something. I would love to use technology more and I'm hoping this class will show me how to successfully use it and give me some ideas I've never thought of before.

My favorite game(s):

Currently, my favorite game is "Just Dance 2" on the Wii. Some of my friends got it for Christmas and it's honestly just a good time - whether you can dance or not. As far as board games, I am a huge Cranium fan. Cranium combines a lot of my favorite games (charades, Pictionary, etc) into one. It's a lot of fun for a group of people it's a guarantee that you will laugh and have a good time!
