\nJake, I thoughtthe posted article by Marcia Conner had many great resources of materials that could be linked related to informal Learning given that their is not presently a ton of research avalible on the subject.
\n
\nKelly, I also enjoyed your article on "Games for Learning" by Allan McDaniel because I had tought of the informal learning that takes place when playing music and dance games regarding rhythm and coordination.

I like how it addresses the elementary level with informal learning. Being in a high school makes me stay somewhat focused on that age group, but I think starting certain types of informal learning at a younger age will help students assimilate better wih this type of educational setting.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"34526040","dateCreated":"1298142879","smartDate":"Feb 19, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"AlisonMayer","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/AlisonMayer","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/spring11-eng-02.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/34526040"},"dateDigested":1532174585,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Jake's addtion","description":"Group B:

\nYou all did a wonderful job compiling articles on Informal Learning! These are great resources :)
\n
\nI particularly like Jake's website because it provides different descriptions of types of learning that were different from the 6-A-1 article we got to see from Mary. These descriptions are also very brief and easy to read. I particularly like how the scatterplot demonstrates how often we experience each kind of learning, and how the bar graph shows where we experience it the most.
\n
\nAlso, the articles and websites at the end make this a website that is a great addition to "My Favorites" bookmarked pages on my internet browser.
\n
\nGreat find, Jake!

Kelly H- The link you posted about Games and Learning was very useful to me. Not only because my final project is about Games in the Classroom, but also because it had links to some other good information. I was able to view different categories of games, such as Adventure or Baord games, and when I clicked on a topic, it took me to a list of games in that category that I could use in my classroom. Some of the pictures were beneficial as well, because it gave me an idea of what the game was like. Thanks for the ideas!","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
